The Canary Party is pleased to announce that it is endorsing Tony Amador for California’s 9th District Assembly seat.

You may not be in his district, or even a Californian, but we consider Tony’s race one of our most important because his election will unseat pediatrician Dr. Richard Pan who has worked all year to rob parents of their vaccine exemption rights. Such legislators need to know that if they attack families, they will be removed from office and replace with those who support parental rights, like Mr. Amador. So please take the time to support Tony, with your time and your treasure. Contact friends and relatives in his district and encourage them to vote for him.
Tony Amador has been a strong supporter of the rights of parents to make vaccine decisions without unfair and intrusive government interference. He has joined the fight against Assembly Bill 2109, which was passed into law only three days ago, and limits a parents right to opt out of any vaccination for their child. AB 2109 was authored by the current 9th District Assembly Member, Richard Pan. The California Medical Association co-authored the bill.
Richard Pan and the CMA pose a serious threat to California parents who value vaccination choice rights. Mr. Amador has been a strong voice of reason, who has asserted that the Government should not be coercing or bullying parents over their health care decisions. He has been an active opponent of AB 2109, working along side parent advocates to defeat this unfair bill.
Tony Amador has a long record of public service, and is a well known, and highly respected person in his profession and his community. He served 13 years as a patrol officer with the Los Angeles Police Department.
After his tenure at the LAPD, he was appointed to various positions by succeeding governors:
- Board Member of the Narcotic Addict Evaluation Authority
- Chairman of the Youthful Offender Parole Board
- Director of the California Youth Authority
- Deputy Director of the Employment Development Department
- Member of California Public Employment Relations
Among his many accomplishments, Tony went on to be appointed the United States Marshal for the Eastern District of California in 2002, a position he served until he retired in 2009.
He has the experience and leadership abilities that make him the best choice for the job of Assembly Member of the 9th District.
Tony Amador will speak up for parental rights to vaccination choice. His opponent will do just the opposite. We need Tony Amador to take that seat, which will give parents a fair voice in the 9th district.
We proudly endorse his campaign!
